We warmly welcome you to Future of Mining 2026 - Sandvik’s global customer event. Future of Mining is one of Sandvik’s key global gatherings, bringing together senior representatives from leading mining companies worldwide to explore safer, more sustainable and more efficient operations.

Main program - Tampere, Finland | August 31 - September 2, 2026

Join us in Tampere for an exclusive welcome dinner on August 31, followed by a full-day conference at Nokia Arena on September 1.

Hear directly from leaders at some of the world's biggest mining companies as they share real-world experiences of transforming mining operations. Topics include:

  • Zero-entry mining: How automation is improving safety while maintaining productivity.
  • Electrification in practice: Lessons learned from deploying battery-electric equipment and building the business case for fleet transformation.
  • Digital mining: Connecting planning, operations and decision-making through integrated digital solutions.
  • Customer-led innovation: How close collaboration is accelerating the development and adoption of new technologies.
  • Operational excellence: Practical approaches to improving productivity, efficiency and reliability across mining operations.
  • The future of surface mining: A first look at Sandvik's vision for the next generation of surface mining technology.

This premier gathering brings together global mining leaders for a forward-looking dialogue on the future of our industry. The program features thought leadership presentations and executive panel discussions with representatives from leading mining companies including AngloGold Ashanti, ArcelorMittal, Barrick, Boliden, Byrnecut, Eldorado Gold, Freeport, Rio Tinto and other major global players.

Together, we will explore electrification, automation, digitalization, real-world implementation challenges, change management and the strategic decisions shaping the next decade of mining. This is more than a conference - it’s an exclusive leadership forum for those defining the future of the industry.

Following the conference, you will take part in invitation-only site tours showcasing the technologies transforming mining operations worldwide. Throughout the event, you will see how Sandvik enables mining companies to improve productivity, enhance safety, reduce emissions, and meet increasingly demanding operational and sustainability targets.

Across multiple immersive environments, we will demonstrate advancements in electrification, automation, AI-driven solutions, connected services, drilling, loading and hauling, planning, digital mine integration and rock processing - all designed to deliver measurable business value.
