Ranger™ DX800 has been the benchmark in its class for more than 30 years, trusted for its reliability, versatility, and consistent performance in demanding surface drilling applications. The introduction of CT55 rock tools extends the rig's capabilities further.

Designed to work in combination with Ranger™ DX800 and the new RD823 rock drill, CT55's patented curved thread system handles higher drilling power and transfers energy more efficiently, delivering optimized penetration performance and reduced cost per meter.

A straightforward upgrade

Take Ranger™ DX800 to a new level with the introduction of CT55 rock tools. Existing rigs can be upgraded through a straightforward conversion using the CT55 conversion kit, which integrates with the current platform without major modifications. Together with the new RD823* rock drill, CT rock tools create the perfect match for the Ranger™ DX800.

Ranger™ DX800

Ranger™ DX800 is a hydraulic, diesel-powered, self-propelled top hammer drill rig with an ergonomic cabin and rod handling system. Typical applications are road cutting, pipeline drilling, foundation drilling and production drilling in medium size quarries and open pit mines.

CT55 rock tools

Our CT55 tool systems are developed for perfect drilling dynamics, matching our Sandvik rock drills and now also Ranger™ DX800. Using the full capacity of the drill rig generates higher drill speed and productivity, maximizing the output for every engine hour. The curved threads enable trouble-free drilling through seamless coupling and uncoupling properties. Furthermore, CT55 ensures better hole quality and straightness, setting new standards for precision in surface drilling operations.
