Sandvik secures major underground equipment order from Aris Mining in Colombia

Sandvik Mining has received a large order from Aris Mining for underground mining equipment to support the expansion of its Marmato operation in Colombia. The equipment package includes loaders, underground trucks, and a range of development, production and longhole drilling rigs.

“This order reflects the strong partnership we have built with Aris Mining and their confidence in Sandvik’s underground mining solutions,” said Mats Eriksson, President of Sandvik Mining. “By supplying a comprehensive fleet of underground equipment to Marmato, we are supporting Aris Mining’s growth ambitions while helping improve productivity, safety and operational efficiency at their operations.”

In addition to the equipment supply, the agreement includes a maintenance and repair services contract, supporting high equipment availability and lifecycle performance. Discussions regarding potential future collaboration on automation, digital solutions and mine optimization technologies are ongoing.
